She currently leads video work at a public health non-profit, working with contractors, editing videos, pitching content ideas, and more.

Description: Produced a two-minute educational video on epiphyte plants to use for science education in both Spanish and English with over 37,000 views on YouTube. It is also available in Spanish.

Description: During an internship at Sibley Memorial Hospital’s Design Lab, Elise produced and edited a video to spotlight the process of feeding patients and staff at a hospital.
Goal: Produce a visually-compelling format for an audio-only interview.

Description: Elise created a long-form audiogram to allow people to listen to a conversation about Medicaid and public health partnerships in Iowa. She used Headliner and Premiere Pro to edit the final product. The design was created using Canva. The video was embedded into an accompanying blog post that Elise edited on the same topic.
Goal: Demystifying the process of COVID-19 testing.

Description: Elise traveled with ASTHO CEO Mike Fraser to Richmond, Virginia to film and interview public health staff about their work in processing COVID-19 vaccines. The video was picked up and featured in the Washington Post.
Goal: Humanize the experience of those who seek second-trimester abortions.

Description: As part of a documentary production class, Elise produced an 18-minute documentary. The process involved pitching the idea, directing, editing, coordinating interviews, managing rentals, and crafting the narrative structure of the documentary. Elise was awarded the Neel Foundation Scholarship for outstanding student documentary filmmaking.
