Hello, hello!
I’m Elise Moore, a communications professional who enjoys creating content for digital platforms. I am currently a editorial and multimedia manager for a influential public health organization focused on advancing state and territorial public health.
I grew up in Alaska and moved to the East Coast to attend college at American University (AU), where I double majored in public health and film and media arts. After a few years of working as a communications professional, I decided to enroll in Johns Hopkins’ M.A. in Communication program. The program has me energized to grow in communications as I’m learning practical, valuable information about branding, content marketing, health communication, and so much more!
While I love all aspects of communications, I enjoy working in the creative space the most. For instance, I enjoy brainstorming, planning, editing, and collaborating on video projects. My video work has a documentary focus, with most of my projects focusing on social and environmental causes, activist organizations, and public health. In May 2019, I won the Neels Foundation Scholarship for outstanding student documentary filmmaking for my short documentary discussing the emotional and financial costs of abortions. I also had the opportunity to work as an Assistant Editor for Symbio Studios, which was producing a television show on conservation in Alaska for National Geographic Wild (a full-circle moment for me!).
I currently work to develop and produce a variety of content, from blogs and white papers to podcasts and videos, in the form of video editing, copy-editing, design, content strategy, and more. Outside of work, I can usually be found visiting cafes in the DMV, reading my next book club novel, and trying new hobbies like knitting or printmaking.
I’d love to connect! If you want to learn more about my professional experience, please download my resume or message me using the feature below. Thank you!
